Exercise is important to all families. We recently wrote a blog post about how to make exercise easy and fun for the whole family—including some ideas from our Musselman’s Apple Sauce Family Skating Tribute cast . We knew you’d want to hear more from the stars, so here are a few more of their responses:

What’s your favorite way to stay active with your family?
Now that Dillon is old enough to ride a bike that has become our regular family outing that also keeps us in shape. The bad news is that we often end up at the ice cream shop.

How important are exercise and fitness in your family? Are there things you do together to get fit and stay active?
Considering that both Mom & Dad work with our bodies moving to music, it is important to us that our children respect health and exercise. We have started working out together as a family but it is only to introduce our boys to the idea of regular exercise. Our workouts involve laughing as much as sweating.

Is fitness fun or a challenge for your family? What healthy activities do you like to do together?
With our sons being so young our workouts are not that serious. Simply getting outside is a great first step to getting exercise for children.

We are lucky to have a trampoline and 20 minutes together on that is not only fun but healthy to building muscles and balance as well.

What’s your favorite way to stay active with your faMichael Weissmily?
We stay active numerous ways….my son plays hockey, lacrosse, soccer, basketball…..and my daughter plays soccer and runs track……Lisa, my mom, and I walk for about an hour 4 nights a week…..I play indoor soccer, skate, and coach power skating. So we stay pretty active!

How important are exercise and fitness in your family? Are there things you do together to get fit and stay active?
Exercise and fitness are very important in my family. When we are not out playing a sport, we hit the gym together. My kids are at the age now where we can lift weights and do cardio together.

Is fitness fun or a challenge for your family? What healthy activities do you like to do together?
Fitness is both fun and a challenge for the family. I have found in the years I’ve been skating and competing, that I really enjoy the excitement of a physical challenge! And I think I have passed that competitive gene on to our kids.

Even when we don’t have scheduled sports and activities, we will head out to the sport court and shoot pucks, kick a soccer ball, or go for a bike ride. I was raised in an environment with a ton of sporting activity around me, and Lisa and I have shared that lifestyle with our kids as well!

What’s your favorite way to stay active with your family?
We love to exercise. We love the Insanity and T25 workouts.

How important are exercise and fitness in your family? Are there things you do together to get fit and stay active?
Exercise is really important to us. With our very busy schedule it’s hard to find the time though. Whenever we can squeeze it in, we do it. The girls have grown up already watching us run, jump, and sprint our way into shape. They love to imitate us and cheer us on! Of course playing hard together at the park or in their bedroom chasing, flipping and wrestling are all ways we find a way to get into shape.

Is fitness fun or a challenge for your family? What healthy activities do you like to do together?
Sometimes it’s a challenge to workout. Both of us work 8-9 hour days and getting home to take care of the girls is a challenge for sure. A challenge we are still trying to figure out!!

We try to do things outdoors. Living in south Florida there are many months out of the year we can enjoy the outdoors. The beach, the Everglades, various parks around here are all great places to take the kids.

What’s your favorite way to stay active with your family?
Our favorite way to stay active as a family is to head to the park, climb all over the jungle gyms & play areas while chasing Ayrton & Ryder around!

How important are exercise and fitness in your family? Are there things you do together to get fit and stay active?
Exercise & fitness is very important to our family as well as eating right. As a family we enjoy running around at the park playing soccer and once in a while a little ice skating is always fun!

Is fitness fun or a challenge for your family? What healthy activities do you like to do together?
With our 2 year old, Ayrton, in our family we stay extremely active most of the day chasing him around the house making sure he doesn’t get into too much trouble since he is a very good climber and loves to find anything to climb on and jump off of. Our 9 year old, Ryder, keeps active cruising around our neighborhood with his friends on the green machines & bikes! There’s never a dull moment at the Eldredge residence!

What’s your favorite way to stay active with your family?
My favorite way to stay active with the family is hiking a mountain! We don’t get the opportunity often, but hiking is a great way to be outside and get some exercise. We also love to go out on our bikes, especially on trails, as the kids are now able to ride there too

How important are exercise and fitness in your family? Are there things you do together to get fit and stay active?
Exercise and fitness are huge priorities to our family. In addition to kicking the ball around the back yard, we try to do some form of exercise with the kids on the weekends, whether biking, hiking or rollerblading.

Is fitness fun or a challenge for your family? What healthy activities do you like to do together?
Fitness is fun for our family once we are in motion. We just got a dog and each child seems delighted to take him on walks. This is one way to get up and out of the house.

This summer, we engaged in swimming, hiking, biking, kayaking, rollerblading, waterskiing, to name a few activities that got our heart rates moving. The kids even got to zipline over a friend’s pond in Lake Placid!
